Jaya Ahsan is a Bangladeshi model, TV and film actress. She has a huge popularity both in Bangladeshi media and Kolkata film industry. By appearing as a model in a TV comemrcial Jaya set her foot in the media in the late 90s . By acting in a drama named "Ponchomi" She made her debut as a TV actress. In 2004 She debuted as a film actress by appearing as a guest in the film "Bachelor" directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki. Later, after a long break she started acting in the film again from the year 2010 by acting in the film "Dubshatar". She has won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress four times for her amazing acting skill in the films Guerrilla (2011), Chorabali (2012), Zero Degree (2015) and Debi (2018). She won the Best Female Actor award in the Foreign Films category for her role in the film Robibaar (2019) at the Madrid International Film Festival 2020. Jaya is also a singer and took diploma courses in Indian classical music and Rabindra Sangeet. She did playback in few films including "Tomer Khola Hawa" in Dubshatar and "Jongoler Daak" in Mesidona.
