Suborna Mustafa is a Bangladeshi TV and film actress. She made her television debut through appearing in the drama "Borof Gola Nodi" by Zahir Raihan which is based on a novel . Later on, she has also acted in the first ever package drama serial of BTV "Shilpi" directed by Mamunur Rashid. Later She starred in a lot of popular TV dramas including - Rokte Angur Lata, Doll's House, Kothao Keo Nei, Aaj Robibar, Ayomoy, Ontorjatra, Gohine, Okkhor Theke Uthe Asha Manush, Aaj Kichhu Hote Cholechhe, Kana Shirajuddin O Komol Bibir Othithishala and Utshob. In 1980 Suborna made her film debutthrough the film "Ghuddi". Later she has acted in several other films like - Laal Shobujer Pala, Notun Bou, Noyoner Alo, Shonkhonil Karagar, Rakkhosh, palabi Kothay, Durotto, Gohin Baluchor, Manobjomin, Amar Bela Je Jaay, Megher Pore Megh and Golok Dhadha. She has won two National Film Awards for Best Supporting Actress in the films Notun Bou in 1983 and Gohin Baluchor in 2017. In 2019 She was also awarded Ekushey Padak in culture category . Suborna Mustafa is also a member of Bangladesh Awami League hence representing the Reserved Women's Seat-4 in current Jatiyo Sangsad since February 2019.
